The cases to be chosen for eye brow transplantation need to be individuals who have a scar related to a trauma such as a burnt or traffic accident, and who suffer from a partial or complete eye brow loss or whose eye brows are very sparse. For the ones whose eye brows got weak and thin, or who do not like and want to change their eye brow contour, in other words, who had an eye brow transplantation only for aesthetic purposes, we might not achieve completely natural and unnoticeable eye brow hairs. The reason for this is that the eye brow hairs are thinner than the thin head hairs that we will replace with them, and that their other features (color, fragility, growth rate and speed, touch etc.) are different.
For the eye brow transplantation, after shaving a small area in the nape where thin hairs are located and shortening the hairs, your hair bulbs will be removed with FUE technique. Then, these hair bulbs are taken based on your eye brow structure, their growth direction and eye brow curve, and used in order to restore your eye brow. In other words, in order to stimulate the natural hair growth and flow, the most suitable ones among hairs that are with different thickness, curve and color should be selected and implanted. Another matter that you should know is that the growth and life cycle of head hairs are different than eye brow hairs’. In other words, while your original eye brows do not grow and stay at certain length, you will need to shorten your head hairs with scissors that constantly grow in the area they were implanted. In addition, it is very difficult to achieve the desired density in a single session after eye brow transplantation. Most likely, it will be necessary to repeat the second session at least 6-7 months later.
