I graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Medicine in 1994, ranking 7th in my class. I received my specialization in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery from Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine in 2002. Since 2010, I have been working as a private physician in my own practice, striving to serve my patients based on ethics and the principle of "first, do no harm".

I believe that for successful hair restoration, the surgeon's expertise, skill, and experience, the selection of the appropriate technique for the patient, and good planning that combines the patient's wishes and desires are crucial. Refusing surgery in unsuitable cases, when necessary, should always be an option we keep in mind.

The expertise and touch of a specialist in Aesthetic, Plastic, and Reconstructive Surgery, possessing knowledge of facial aesthetics, is essential for achieving personalized, anatomically appropriate, and very natural results in hair transplantation operations. Hair transplantation is not simply the transfer of hair follicles; any technician can do that. However, the touch of a Plastic Surgeon is crucial, especially for determining the hairline, understanding the anatomy of eyebrows, beard, mustache, and hair, identifying natural hair growth directions, and creating a hair restoration that provides a framework suitable to facial proportions. The first thing we learn in Aesthetic, Plastic, and Reconstructive Surgery is respectful surgery of the tissue, which reduces potential complications after hair transplantation.

The main reason I focused on hair transplantation was my close observation of the psychological and, to some extent, physical trauma caused by hair loss in men. For men, hair is a symbol of strength, handsomeness, and youth, and premature hair loss leads to a loss of self-confidence and creates a distressing feeling of inadequacy. To help my patients overcome this situation and start a new chapter in their lives, I decided to help them and began performing hair transplant operations in 2003. While the first operations were performed using the FUT technique, after 2007-2008 I focused on hair transplantation using the FUE method, which became popular in our country.

I later observed that hair loss, thinning, and shedding are also serious problems for women and can cause significant complications if left untreated. I try to apply supportive treatment methods (medical treatments, PRP, mesotherapy, exosome therapy, stem cells, etc.) that are scientifically and medically proven and beneficial to the patient (while also explaining potential side effects beforehand) during and after hair transplantation.

I am a member of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) and the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS). I have attended numerous seminars and congresses of international and national plastic and reconstructive surgery societies both in Turkey and abroad. I have presented papers and published articles at national congresses and the ISAPS biannual international congress. I am also a member of the Turkish Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (EPCD) and the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (TPRECD).

I have participated as a speaker at the ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) biannual congresses, held every two years, in Rio de Janeiro/Brazil (2014), Kyoto/Japan (2016), Miami/USA (2018), Vienna/Austria (2021), Istanbul (2022), and Cartagena/Colombia (2024), and had the honor of sharing my experiences on hair transplantation with colleagues all over the world.
